One...Two...Three...FOUR!!!

One...Two...Three...FOUR! We are super excited to announce that the fourth member of our family will be joining us around October 8th!  I'm super thankful for this bundle of joy that is growing inside of me but I'm also thankful that I'm finally feeling better.  During my first trimester, I was feeling nauseated all the time.  I never actually threw up but it was like being car sick all day long.  It was not fun.  I wasn't like this with Megumi so it caught me at a surprise.  I don't know if I'm actually more tired with this pregnancy or if it's due to the fact that I'm chasing around a toddler all day long.  Sometimes I found myself going to bed before Megumi because I was so exhausted by the end of the day.  Thank goodness for a supportive and helpful husband!  I am 17 weeks now and we will be finding out the gender of our baby in a couple of weeks.  We can't wait!  We'd appreciate your continual prayer for our growing baby :)

The channel Mike swam across.
On March 30th, Mike participated in the Nevis to St. Kitts annual channel swim.  We were a little bit worried about the weather at first because it was quite stormy the days before.  But it turned out to be a beautiful day!  The current was still pretty strong so that made the 2.5 mile swim more challenging.  This event was a fund raiser for the Turtle research sponsored by Ross Veterinary school.  It was quite an event and it was fun to be a part of it.  Megumi and I had fun cheering every time a swimmer came out of the water.  We kept on looking for a yellow cap swimming towards us and when we finally spotted Mike, Megumi greeted him by running up to him yelling "Daddy!!!".  Then they crossed the finish line together.  The local T.V. station thought that was cute and they ended up interviewing them for a few minutes.  In all the excitement, I forgot to look at the clock when he crossed the finish line, but later we found out that Mike completed the swim in about an hour and 40 minutes.  He said he even saw a huge sea turtle swim right under him!  We are so proud of his accomplishment!
